High There, Sarah!

Hey, High, Hello! Welcome to High There, Bud, a series introducing the amazing buds that you’ve gotten to know and love here at Prairie and Luna.

If you’ve come by the shop when Sarah is working the floor, you know what an absolute gem she is. Whether she’s shocking a bro by detailing her nightly joint regimen as she makes a high-THC recommendation or holding a new consumer’s hand through their first purchase, Sarah leads with so much kindness and enthusiasm. She takes such good care of our team and of our customers, throwing endless baby showers (for our endlessly pregnant staff) and finding the perfect cannabis fit for each person who walks through the door. We are so lucky to have this stoney baloney in our corner, with her bright smile, deep love of weed, and endless patience. Without further ado, let’s hear from Sarah!

1. Share a bit about your cannabis journey

I dabbled of course here and there in college but didn’t really make it a part of my daily routine until Cannabis became legal in Ontario. This past year working in cannabis has really opened up so many learning opportunities for me and the people I get to meet daily and talk about this plant with are awesome and I'm really glad that my journey is still very much ongoing. I couldn’t imagine.

2.What is your role at P&L and what is one thing you love to chat about with customers?

I wear a few hats at Prairie and Luna! Budtender, Supervisor and Assistant HR Manager. I love chatting with customers about their favourite strains and finding out what they like about it! Then we can explore other options with similar terpenes and pick new things to try!

3.What's your preferred way to consume cannabis? What’s your current go to product and why?

I am a joint gal for sure! I just really enjoy that ritual of rolling or cough cough watching my fiance roll for me lol and at this time of year I throw on my hoodie, socks, sandals and boom ready to rip! I have been obsessed with pretty much all Qwest products but if I had to choose its Stuffed French Toast! The buds are gorgeous, I think it smells sweet and oh she is a beauty high. It’s a spicy price but ya’ll it’s fab. 

4.What’s your favourite song right now?

Okay wow I love the new group Silk Sonic! Leave The Door Open. I straight up blast this in my car with the window down for all to hear. 

5. What’s your favourite hobby/activity?

Honestly missing my summer ritual of lighting up and going out to tend to the garden and I just get so excited to see everything changing each day. Now I truly watch a lot of Netfllix and enjoy just being with my fiance and our puppers.

6. And of course, a little tribute to all the P&L furbud’s!

Dexter and Luna KNOW when we are headed outside to smoke and they get very excited to just hang out. They snuggle on their bed outside together all the time too. It’s so sweet!
