High There, Paula!
Hey, High, Hello! Welcome to High There, Bud, a series introducing the amazing buds that you’ve gotten to know and love here at Prairie and Luna. This week, we’re chatting with Paula, who is one of our newest buds. Though she’s only been on the team since this summer, it already feels like she’s been with us for much longer. We love her calm energy and the way she patiently and knowledgeably talks with each person through the door. Paula is a Sativa queen and loves nothing more than to share her personal reviews of products with anyone looking for a good recommendation. She is also notorious for spotting out our best-flavoured vapes and is always a reliable source when looking for a yummy suggestion. Whether you’re a new bud navigating through the legal cannabis world, or a seasoned toker looking for a heavy-hitting Sativa, Paula has you covered. We are so lucky to have Paula on the team and appreciate so much the hard work she’s put in to learn all the ropes around here. A gem, through and through. Now, here’s Paula!
1. Share a bit about your cannabis journey
My cannabis journey started in high school. A few social gatherings here and there. But when my dad was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy in 2014 I started to do my own research on the medicinal side of cannabis. I eventually took a break and stopped consuming for a few years until it was legal again. I am now a daily user. I found that cannabis is able to help me stay calm and focused, gives me all the motivation, and helps keep my anxiety at bay.
2. What is your role at P&L and what is one thing you love to chat about with
customers?
I am your friendly neighbourhood budtender. Here to help you build your own cannabis arsenal and cater to all your cannabis needs. My favorite thing to chat with customers about is how they liked their most recent purchase. Our customers are our greatest resource. And it really feels great when a customer comes in saying they really enjoyed a strain you recommended.
3. What’s your preferred way to consume cannabis? What’s your current go-to product
and why.
Roll one, smoke one! Doesn’t matter if it's prerolled, or home-rolled joints have always been my favourite way to consume. My go-to product is the Lilac Diesel prerolls by Redecan. The 0.35g is a perfect size, and it's a great Sativa high.
4. What’s your favourite song right now?
The song that is currently on replay on my playlist is Shivers by Ed Sheran. It's really poppy, upbeat, and super catchy.
5. What’s your favourite hobby/activity?
I have a few hobbies. But my first love will always be baking. Whether it's for friends and family or taking my favourite recipes and turning them into edibles, the best way to make anyone feel good is through their stomach.
6. And of course, a little tribute to all the P&L furbabies!
My pound puppy Freeha. I always wanted a pitt mix so when I saw her at the SPCA when I lived on the East Coast I had to have her. She is a complete couch potato and her favourite phrase is "go smoke/smoke a bowl" cause she knows she'll get to chill out in the backyard with me while I smoke.
